Name of Ingredient
Castor oil, ricin oil
RICINUS COMMUNIS SEED OIL
Castor oil is produced by cold-pressing the seeds of the castor oil plant. It has a lighter texture and rich composition. It contains vitamin E and linoleic, oleic, and ricinoleic fatty acids, and in greater quantities than other plant-based oils. This makes it an effective ingredient for skincare, as well as for haircare, eyebrow and eyelash products.
Castor oil is, in particular, indispensable in the care of dry, fading, or inflamed skin, as well as having a beneficial effect on the hair shaft and roots.
Ricinoleic acid smoothes the skin, reduces wrinkles, nourishes and moisturises the skin, and stimulates intracellular processes. Oleic acid speeds up the metabolism of the epidermal cells, helping the skin to recover faster from minor injuries.
